Vernon Maurice Jordan, 55, Clarksville, died at 4:21 p.m. Sunday, July 26, 2020 at St. Thomas Hospital.


A funeral service will be at noon on Saturday at All Nations House of Prayer with the Apostle Garfield Curlin officiating. Burial will follow Monday at 10 a.m. at Cave Springs Cemetery.


A native of Kansas City, Kansas, he was born Jan. 21, 1965, the son of Howard Jordan Sr., Kansas City, Kansas, and the late Annie Mae Green Jordan.


He is a U.S. Army veteran and was a truck driver trainer for Star Transportation. He attended All Nations House of Prayer in Hopkinsville.


In addition to his father, survivors include his wife, Merlene Jordan, Clarksville; children, Tiana Jordan, Shree Jordan, Clarksville; brother, Howard (Nancy) Jordan Jr., Okinawa, Japan; sister, Lisa Jordan, Kansas City, Kansas; godmother Mary Bauer, Clarksville; goddaughters, Chikeia Theus, Detroit, Mich., Moeneak Jones, Clarksville; godson, Vincent Jones, Clarksville, and two grandchildren.
