Rita L. Lee, 87, formerly of Williams Township, PA, passed away Friday, August 7, 2020 in CedarBrook Nursing Home.
Born June 12, 1933, in Middletown, NY, she was a daughter of the late George and Eva (Dexheimer) Kirchgassner.
She and her husband, William R. Lee, Jr., celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on January 15, 2020.
Rita graduated from Wilson High School Class of 1951 and Churchman’s Business College.
She retired in 1996 from the former Mack Printing Company.
Rita enjoyed spending time with her entire family, especially her grandchildren. She was a lifelong Phillies and Eagles fan and could often be found taking a shower during stressful situations. She loved reading and always had a book in her hands.
She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Williams Township, where she had served on the church council and sang in the choir. She was a former member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Easton, and its choir. Rita was also a member of Order of Eastern Star, William Parsons Chapter 185.
Surviving in addition to her husband, William, are three daughters, Tamra Lee and her companion John Vaughn, of Blandon, PA, Jeanne Macsek and her husband Matthew, of Elizabeth, WV and Joann Lee, of Bethlehem; a sister, Ruth Bogari, of West Easton; four grandchildren, Jonathan and Kyle Ring, Sarah and Benjamin Macsek. She was predeceased by two sisters, Betty Kirchgassner and Joan Riley.
Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family in St. John’s Union Cemetery, Williams Township. Arrangements are by the Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson Borough. Offer online condolences at www.strunkfh.com.
