Graduated from the University of New Haven with a civil engineering degree and MBA. Holder of 12 patents. Worked for the Bridgeport Brass Division of National Distillers and Chemical Corp, and International Silver and MITE Corp. Retired as President of Preston Engravers in Windsor, CT. in 1991. Acting ton engineer and director of public works in Orange, CT. A foudning member and past president of the Orange Historical Society and was a historian of early America; he was a fellow of the Company of Military Historians, the Connecticut League of Historical Societies, and the Greater New Haven Archaeological Society. He was a published author, publishing "The Quiet Patriot: Colonel Return Jonathan Meigs" and edited "The Diary of Jabez Fitch, 1757" and "The 1777 Journal of Robert Treat". He was a longtime member of the Ancient Mariners Fife and Drum Corps and he hand-crafted the prop cannon the corps uses which actually fires blank shotgun shells. A very gentle man and devoted friend.

Gravesite Details

Lovely headstone but at the time of photographs, it was days after the tropical storm Isiais and a branch was covering the headstone, too heavy for one man to move.
