Kevin was born on September 8, 1972, in St. Joseph, MI to Gerry and Barbara (Rincock) Cox. He was a
happy, bright child with a strong body and mind who lived his life with intensity, though he had difficulty
finding his life’s purpose.
He grew up in Coloma, Michigan, and from his youth, Kevin had a passion for fixing up old cars just like
his grandpa and would use his service skills to help his family when in need. He spent much of his adult
life working hard at several local businesses including Farmer Friday’s, Hilltop, and Harding’s. For a
while, his passion for travel took him on the road, truck driving across the country. He enjoyed seeing
the country and traveling to places he had never been.
Kevin meant well in life, but he was a troubled soul. He lived for the moment, and not to grow old. He
died as he lived — leaving us too young. He leaves a hole in the hearts of those left behind … his mother
Barbara Cox of Grand Junction, his father Gerry (Tamara) Cox of Berrien Springs, his daughter Tori Berry
of Stevensville, his sister Keri (Mark) Smith of Granger, Indiana, his sister Kristi (Kip) Izumoto of Oahu,
Hawaii, his brother Gerrett Cox, 2 nieces (Rachael Moshier and Kiari Izumoto), 1 nephew (Kai Izumoto),
and his partner Janice Cross. He will be interred at Rose Hill Cemetery, Berrien Springs, Michigan.
He will be missed by those who knew him and grew-up with him. We pray for peace for Kevin and
everyone affected.
