Mrs. Payne was born July 13, 1961, in Laurens County to the late Northern Vickers and the late Mattie Copeland Vickers. Mrs. Payne was a dedicated member of the Church at Dudley. She departed this life on the early morning of Saturday, May 2, 2020. She was preceded in death by a brother, William Ronnie Vickers , and by a sister, Christine Vickers Hood.
Along her journey on this earth Deborah shared cherished memories and impacted the lives of many. In the reflection of her legacy, she leaves behind a devoted husband, Samuel L. Payne of Dexter, sons, Joseph (Amanda) Vickers of Florida, Christopher Bonner of Dexter, and daughters, Erica Bonner of Cadwell, Asia Morris of Dublin, and Anastasia Bonner of Rentz, grandchildren, Jakaya Vickers, Cameron Vickers, Nicquavious King, Briell Vickers, Keondre Bonner, Brandon Vickers, Kayden Robinson, Torian Morris, Zion Bonner, Savannah Jackson, Camden Bonner, and great grandson, Bryson Vickers, two sisters, Virginia Brower of Dexter, Essie Sherman of Florida, and three brothers, Ray (Willie Mae) Vickers of Dexter, Bernard Vickers of Dexter, Larry (Cassandra) Copeland of Rochester, New York, and four aunts, Rosa (Homer) Rozier of Dudley. Cora Mae Jones of Rochester, New York, the late Bertha Lee Rice and the late Mageleen Delouch, both of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and one uncle, Carlos Copeland of Moultrie, her mother-in-law, Charlie Mae Payne of Montrose, three brothers-in law, Charlie (Mary) Payne of Columbia, South Carolina, Grinder Payne of Montrose, James (late Jackie) Walker of Macon, six sisters-in-law, Catherine Johnson of Montrose, Bertha (Jimmy) Taylor of Dublin, Ruby (Thomas) Holmes of Dublin, Shirley Ringwood (Donald) of Dublin, Barbara (Bo) Jones of Dexter, and Aleshia Payne of Atlanta, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
