Spencer, Judith 1/26/1943 - 5/29/2020 Balsam Lake, WI Judith "Judy" Spencer, 77, of Balsam Lake, WI, passed away May 29, 2020 at the St. Croix Regional Medical Center in St. Croix Falls due to congestive heart failure. Judy was born Judith Marjorie Karafa on January 24, 1969 in Muskegon, MI to John and Joan (Herlein) Karafa. She married Tyrone Spencer on January 24, 1969, in Muskegon, MI. She had a Masters degree in Theology & was a CCD teacher at the Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church in Balsam Lake, WI, where she was also a member. Judy had a lifelong passion for helping others and spend many years as a CNA working with Alzheimer's patients as well as volunteering for a suicide prevention network. She was also a prolific baker and was known for her cookies and caramel corn at Christmas time. Judy is survived by her daughters, Kathleen (Josh) Graham, Boise, Idaho and daughter, Cynthia Kyle, Sarona, WI, sisters Barbara (Larry) Tinklenburg, Deborah (Pat) McKeown, Donna, brothers David, John and Peter Karafa, and a host of friends and loved ones. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tyrone, her parents John and Joan, and sisters Joan Shortridge, Ruth Everest, Mary Lou Kolker and twin sister, Joyce Byrnes.
