·        Mr. Michael Beckett, the sum of five (5) Shillings, he having already obtained from me a sufficient share of my property.

·        To my oldest Daughter Jane Beckett, now Mrs. Hamilton, a new suit of clothes, as I have already bestowed upon her what I consider her just share.

·        The rest of my property, consisting of the undivided half of Lot 23; Concession 2, Oxford Township in the District of Johnstown, and all my personal property, upon the death of their mother, Anne, the widow of James Beckett; to be distributed in equal share to each of my remaining daughters, to wit:

·        Mary Beckett (now Mrs. Hutchins)

·        (b) Esther Beckett (now Mrs. Newman)

·        (c) Sarah Beckett

·        (d) Ann Beckett

·        To facilitate an equal sharing as aforesaid, I instruct the Executors, "my sons-in-law John Hamilton and John Newman" after the death of my said wife, Anne, to sell the property and divide the proceeds equally.
