HUDSON OAKS - Perry Jason Davis passed away Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2020.
He was born Sept. 5, 1933, in Saunimin Township, Illinois and was a longtime resident of Weatherford, Texas.

Upon graduating (1951) from Caneyville High School in Caneyville, KY Perry entered military service. He served in the U.S. Air Force and then the U.S. Army as an accomplished helicopter mechanic and pilot for 22 years, attaining the rank of CW-2 (Chief Warrant Officer). In 1953, Perry married Georgia May Brown and they raised two children, Cathy and Michael. Military life led them to different places to live, including Germany and Japan. During his distinguished military career, Perry did one tour of Korea and two of Vietnam. After retiring from the military, he attended Central Missouri State University where he graduated with a Master's degree in aviation. Following University, Perry worked as a Quality Control Engineer of F-16 Fighter Jets at General Dynamics in Ft Worth, Texas. In his spare time, Perry enjoyed restoring old airplanes, flying, and traveling. Perry and Georgia liked taking the Cessna all over the U.S. visiting family or just for an afternoon flight.
Perry remarried after Georgia's death and is survived by his wife, Dorothy Elder Davis. Perry and Dorothy were married for 29 years and enjoyed dancing, travel, and the local theater.
Perry is also survived by a daughter, Cathy (Ron) Anderson; son, Michael Davis; daughter-in-law, Jean (Daniel) Farber; three grandsons, Perry (Briana) White, Benjamin (Kelsie) White, and Alexander Davis; two great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Ella Rose White and Ian Arik White; brother, John Henry (Fran) Davis; sister, Rosetta Biggerstaff; as well as many nieces, nephews and other loving relatives.
Also preceding him in death are his parents, Beulah and Walter Davis; sisters; Virginia (Mervin) Burger and Patsy (Jim) Holland; and grandson, Adam Davis.
Perry had a kind heart and quick wit and will be dearly missed (especially his fruitcake at Christmas time) by all who knew and loved him.
Military Graveside: August 14, 2020, at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the 191st Assault Helicopter Company at 191 AHC Association, 3330 N Galloway #304-90, Mesquite, Texas 75150
