Roger Dale Evans, 72, of Russell, Ky went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 6, 2020 at Community Hospice in Ashland, Ky.

Mr. Evans was born July 10, 1948 in Louisa, Ky, a son of the late John Lewis Evans and Elva Evans. He is also preceded in death by his sister, Irene Blankenship and eight brothers, Joe Evans, Andy Evans, John Evans, Bill Evans, Clarence Evans, Paul Evans, Arnold Evans and Lee Evans.

Mr. Evans is a Veteran of the United States Army who proudly served his country.

He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Vandall Evans; his three sons, Jim (Carol) Evans, John (Tonya) Evans and Tom Evans; two sisters, Mary Nagel and Hazel Hogston; seven grandchildren, Christopher, Amanda, Tyler, Michael, Karlena, Ryan and Cody; three great-grandchildren, Brent, Isaac and Nehemiah.

A funeral service for Roger Dale Evans will be held Monday, August 10, 2020 at 11:30am at Evans Funeral Home in Raceland with Ralph Hogston officiating. Burial will follow at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Northeast with Military Rites. The visitation will begin at 10:30am on Monday at the funeral home.
