Mrs Lillian S. Baker, who was active in Masonic, church and sewing groups, died yesterday (Aug. 9, 1953). She was 83 on July 28.
Mrs. Baker was the widow of William Baker, engineer at the old Masonic Temple in Clinton Avenue North. Born in Rochester, she died in Strong Memorial Hospital after an illness of several weeks.
She was a member of Central Presbyterian Church, a life member of Paul Chapter 480, OES, and Universal Craftsmen's Council of Engineers, a Masonic group. She was active in sewing circles of those organizations and of the Base Hospital 19 Auxiliary, a group which did sewing for the hospital unit organized in Rochester and which saw World War 1 service in France.

Mrs. Baker who lived at 226 Bryan St, is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Max A. Zill, and a grandson, Willard M. Zill. Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9pm at the Charles Younglove Funeral Home, Dewey Ave. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm. Wednesday with burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
