Funeral services for Leslie Thomas Howard Sr. 80, of Cochran, who died Saturday August 1, 2020 in the Bryant Nursing Home will be held Tuesday at 2 PM in the Chapel of Fisher Funeral Home. Burial will be in Pulaski Bleckley memorial Gardens. Leslie was born in Dodge County the son of the late Luther Thomas Howard and Claudia Upshaw Howard. Leslie was a graduate of Dublin High School Class of 1958, Graduate of Berry College Class of 1964. He and Brenda moved to Cochran in 1968 were he went to work at Robins Air Force Base until his retirement.He and Brenda were also the owners of the Cochran Sears Store. He was a member of Cochran First United Methodist Church and was past President of the Cochran JC's, the Middle Georgia Diamond Club and the Bleckley County Men's Club. Leslie was the Scout Master of Boy Scout Troupe 53 were he was awarded the Silver Beaver Award .
Survivors are his wife Brenda L. Howard of Cochran; sons Leslie T. (Mandi) Howard Jr. of Kathleen and Lee (Sherry) Howard of Cochran; grandchildren Elizabeth Howard and A J Howard of Cochran; sisters June Whittle of Chester and Shirley (Ronald) Embry of Summerville SC.;AND A host of nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers please make contribution to Cochran First United Methodist Church, 119 E. Dykes St. Cochran, Ga.31014 and will be at the Howard residence Peter St. Cochran and will meet friends following the service.
