Excerpt -- Lousia Ellen Kelley Fleegle, daughter of Joseph and Dorcas Kelley was born April 16, 1843, in Preston County, West Virginia. In 1876 she was united in marriage to Samuel Fleegle. To this union one son, Tarlton, who died when a baby of fifteen months, and one daughter, Mattie, with whom she lived before her death, were born. Until 1919 her home was in W.Va., at which time she moved to Clinton County to make her home with her daughter. She became a member of the Methodist church when about sixteen years of age, and kept her membership in that church until she moved to Missouri. Poor health made it impossible for her to remain active in church work wile in this community. Death came to her on Oct. 29, 1925 at 2:30 p.m. at the home of her daughter, who, with her ten grandchildren, are left to mourn her departure, also one great-grandchild. The funeral was conducted Saturday, Oct. 31, 1925, by Rev. Wallace Wolverton, of Parkville, Mo., and burial was at Independence Cemetery north of Hemple.
