Obituary of Roy Edward Elliott Jr.

Roy Edward Elliott Jr., age 76, of Lake Ozark, Missouri passed away Monday, August 3, 2020 at the University of Missouri Health Care in Columbia, Missouri.

Roy was born March 30, 1944 in Pascagoula, Mississippi to Roy and Rossie Mae (Cox) Elliott.

On June 9, 1984, Roy was united in marriage to Julie Corn in North Little Rock, Arkansas. They shared 36 years together at the time of his passing.

Roy proudly served in the United States Army. He worked for many years as the V.P. of Sales in a paper and chemical company. Roy loved life. He loved his family and spending time with them. He had many hobbies including fishing, traveling, active outdoor activities, watching Seinfeld, and watching westerns. He enjoyed a good beer and loved watching and cheering on the Saints, LSU, and Cardinals Baseball. His dog Kramer was very dear to him.

Roy is survived by his wife Julie Elliott of the home; his daughter Jennifer Burckhardt and husband Tim of Wildwood, Missouri; and 2 grandchildren Jack Brennan Burckhardt and William Edward Burckhardt.

Roy was preceded in death by his parents Roy and Rossie Elliott and his sister Seri Lynn Martin.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, August 15, 2020 at Horseshoe Bend Baptist Church in Lake Ozark, Missouri.

Memorial donations are suggested to Ellis Fischel Cancer Center or UM Cancer Center in memory of Roy.
