Catherine I. Osborne (nee Singleton), age 86, a longtime resident of Lorain and formerly of Amherst, passed away Saturday, March 13, 2021 at Mercy Regional Medical Center after a brief illness.Catherine was born November 18, 1934 in Crab Orchard, Kentucky to the late John and Della Singleton. In 1952, Catherine moved to Ohio from Kentucky with her husband George Osborne Jr. who had been employed at the quarries in South Amherst. Throughout her life she was a homemaker who enjoyed being active in her church and its activities, reading her bible regularly, gardening, and going to garage sales.Survivors include her children; Judy Snowden of Lorain, Jeannie (Robert) Coleman of Lorain, Mark Osborne of Lorain, five grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years George Osborne Jr., and eight brothers and sisters.Family will receive friends at the Garland-Misencik Funeral Home, 851 Park Avenue, Amherst, on Thursday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. time of service. Pastor DJ Murray will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
