It is with great sadness that we have been notified that Randall Whitney Young passed away 31 July 2020. Randall was better known to family and friends as Randy. He was born October 7, 1957 to Richard and Jacqueline Young in San Antonio, Texas. He grew up mainly in Florida but, during those young years lived in various places around the world. After graduating from high school he joined the Air Force and spent the next four years at MacDill AFB. After his time in the Air Force, he moved to Virginia and attended Mary Washington College in Fredericksburg while also working various jobs. In his 30s he moved out to California where both his sisters were living and met Patty Gunn, a young woman who became his wife. They had two children, Dylan and Emily before the marriage sadly ended in divorce. Four years ago he moved to Ohio where his father, step-mother, one sister and many cousins, nieces and nephews live.

Over the years he struggled physically with back pain caused by an injury he sustained while working for a movie studio by building sets in Los Angeles. He will always be remembered for being able to tell the best stories, relate his many adventures and for his laughter and great sense of humor. He will be missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Jacqueline Class. He is survived by his 29 year old son, Dylan Young and 22 year old daughter Emily Young both of California. He also leaves behind his father, Richard Young & stepmother Barbara Young, two sisters Leslie Lapp and Adrienne Young (William Rathbone), two step brothers Hans Doerr (Christy) and Brian Doerr (Ree), a half brother Matthew Young (Patricia) plus many, many cousins, nieces and nephews and friends. And, last but not least, he leaves behind his beloved dog named Raisn who was his constant friend and companion the last few years.
