Bernice Louise Moore, age 91, died on August 4, 2020 at Cedar Village Long Term Care, Ness City. She was born on August 15, 1928 in Bazine, Kansas the daughter of Ed and Clara (Michel) Witthuhn.
Bernice was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church and Ladies Aid and the Golden Years Club all of Bazine. She was a graduate of the Bazine High School and thoroughly enjoyed raising her family and attending her grandchildren's' sports and school activities.
On January 28, 1948 she married Dean Moore in Bazine, Kansas. He preceded her in death on December 10, 1998 after 49 years of marriage.
She is survived by her daughter, Denise Corsair and her husband, Scott of Bazine; three grandsons, Chris and Nicole Corsair of Hays and their children, Hank, Gus, Morgan, and Maddy; Brett and Sara Corsair of Bazine and their children, Emmitt, Owen, and Scarlett; Shane and Allison Corsair of Bazine and their daughter, RaeLee. Bernice was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and her sister, Claretta Pfannenstiel and her husband, Ralph.
Funeral services will be held at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Ness City on Friday, August 7, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. followed by burial in the Bazine Cemetery. Viewing will be at Fitzgerald Funeral Home on Thursday from Noon until 9:00 p.m. with the family present from 5-7 p.m.
Memorial Contributions may be given to the Bazine Golden Years Club or the Bazine Cemetery Fund.
