Charles T. (Tom) Wells, 82, retired house painter of Rt. 1, Leitchfield died May 7, 1983 at the Grayson County Hospital. / He was born July 13, 1900 in Butler County. The son of Garrett Wells and Rebecca Wells. He was the husband of Essie McDonald Wells. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Temple Hill General Baptist Church. / Survivors other than his wife include one daughter Geraldine Elder of Jeffersonville, Ind.; two step-daughters Mickie Willis of Leitchfield and Sue Ann White of Clarkson; one step-son Donnie McDonald of Leitchfield; one sister Roxie Miller of Leitchfield; three grandchildren, nine step grandchildren and five step great grandchildren. / Funeral services were held May 9, 1983 at the Ellis-Mayes Chapel by the Rev. Leonard Embry with interment in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Ellis-Mayes Funeral Home.
