Joshua David Allen, age 43 of Brookville, passed away unexpectedly in Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming on Monday, August 3, 2020 doing what he loved. He was a graduate of Mansfield Christian in 1996. He later received his Associates Degree in Construction Management from John Brown University and his Bachelors Degree in Youth Ministry from Mt. Vernon Nazarene University. Josh was the owner/operator of Allen Home Inspections and was a member and licensed home inspector of the American Society of Home Inspectors. Prior to becoming a home inspector, Josh worked at Missanabie Woods Academy and was a youth pastor. He was also an active member of Salem Church of God and volunteered at the Joseph House. Josh enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 20 years: Danica (Wanty) Allen, children: Taylor, Jayden and Eden Allen, parents: William and Emmagene (Raney) Allen of Englewood, siblings: Matthew (Melody) Allen of IN, Pamela (James) Cramer of Oak Harbor, OH, Robert Allen of CA, Christopher (Evan) Allen of CA, father-in-law and mother-in-law: Douglas and Joyce Wanty of Fairborn, brother-in-law: Derrek (Carla) Wanty of Columbus, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 8, 2020 at the family farm (8077 Sweet Potato Ridge Road, Brookville, Ohio). If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Joseph House c/o Christian Life Center (3489 Little York Rd, Dayton, Ohio 45414). Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the family asks that you please wear a mask and maintain social distancing
