Norfolk - Dorothy June (Hipsher) Greene, 84, passed away June 10, 2013. Dorothy was born in Grainger County, TN. She was a member of the Albemarle Baptist Church and the American Legion Women's Auxiliary in Edenton, NC. She attended the Hyde Park Freewill Baptist Church in Norfolk. She was an avid gardener and beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband Donald Eugene Greene. She is survived by her son Ronald Greene and wife Vickie of Norfolk; daughters, Sherry Correll and husband Stephen of Virginia Beach and Jamie Zadd of Norfolk; brother, Jack Hipsher of St. Louis, MO; sister Ruth Guider of Lenoir City, TN; grandchildren Jamie, Jason, Johnny and Jesse Correll, Meredith and Charlie Zadd, Stacey Land and Brian Greene and 10 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday June 13th at 11 am in Hollomon-Brown Tidewater Drive Chapel by the Rev. Terry Beck. The family will greet friends one hour prior to service. Interment will be in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
