James Howard Cash, age 78, of Paris, IL, died Saturday, August 1, 2020 at Regional Hospital in Terre Haute, IN.
James was born February 7, 1942 to Howard and Sophia E. (Horvath) Cash. He previously worked in construction and highway maintenance. He was a veteran of the United States Army, a member of the Paris American Legion Post #211, and often served with the military detail at funerals. He enjoyed watching television and loved his animals and talking about history.
He is survived by his fiancé, Linda Hall of Paris, IL; three children: Lory Palmer of North Richland Hills, TX, Toby Cash of Paris, IL, and Nicole Cash of Mattoon, IL; a sister: Delores Lutz of Melbourne, FL; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; two children: Shane Shelton Cash and Kim Cash; two brothers: Glen Cash and Bob Cash; and two sisters: Donna Belle Redden and Suzanna Buckler.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 10, 2020 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Oakland Cemetery, with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. For those who wish, memorials may be made to the Edgar County Humane Association.
