GIDDINGS — Services for Marilyn E. Spence, 83, of Giddings were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 3, 2007, at Immanuel Lutheran Church with Rev. John Davis and Rev. Robert Tiner officiating. Burial was in Giddings City Cemetery.
Mrs. Spence died Saturday, Sept. 1, in Giddings.
She was born April 24, 1924, in Lincoln to Alfred Sanders and Agnes (Wenke) Sanders.
She married Kyle Spence on Nov. 26, 1953, in Giddings.
Mrs. Spence was an accountant for the LCRA and Bluebonnet Electric Coop.
She was affiliated with Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Spence was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Agnes Sanders, and a brother, Henry A. Sanders.
Survivors are her husband, Kyle Spence of Giddings; a nephew, Garry Sanders and wife Leonita of Carmine; a niece, Becky Dunham and husband Johnny of Manvel; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Ruby Ellen and Elbert Brown, Claude and Lanell Spence, Rodney and Lu Spence, all of Rockdale, and Roxie Ann and Silee Bingham of Austin; also, numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Pallbearers were Garry Sanders, Johnny Dunham, Randy Sanders, Jonathan Dunham, Gaschen Geissen, Timothy Sanders, Jason Schroeder and Robert Bingham.
Honorary pallbearers were all her nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Building Fund.
