DEQUINCY — Jasmine Nicole Wood died Nov. 24, 2008, at her home in Houston. She was five years old.

Jasmine was born April 4, 2003 in Lake Charles to Tarretta Wood and Eric Greenhouse.

Jasmine attended kindergarten at Mahany Elementary School in Houston. She loved to lick suckers and blow bubbles when she wanted attention.

Jasmine is survived by her parents, Tarretta Wood-Petty of Houston and Eric Greenhouse of Lake Charles; stepfather, Jimmy Petty Sr. and her five siblings, Jimmy Petty Jr., Destanee Wood, Karnel Willis, Halle Payne and JaDyn LeDee, all of Houston. She is further survived by grandparents, Roosevelt and Jewel Trapp of Sulphur, Donna Greenhouse and Marvin Woods of Lake Charles and Ezell Wood Sr. of DeQuincy; great-grandparents, Mary Wood of DeQuincy, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Tezeno of DeQuincy and Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Franklin of Eunice; aunts and uncles, Tremicka and Shawn Taylor of Houston, Ezell and Delores Wood Jr. of Montgomery, Ala., Myesha and Brionna Trapp of Sulphur, Quintesah and Phillip Syas of Baton Rouge, Cory Greenhouse of Lake Charles and Amanda Normand of Lafayette.

Funeral services for the immediate family only will be held today, Thursday, Dec. 4, 2008. Viewing of the body will be noon-1 p.m. today at First Church of God in Christ in DeQuincy, 621 S. Grand Avenue, followed by interment at Paradise Cemetery in DeQuincy.
