Glenda Arnold Scott, 69 of Hamilton, NC passed away peacefully at Edgecombe Health Rehab Hospice facility in Tarboro, NC.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 6, 2020 at 12:00 pm at the Hamilton Church of Christ with services following at 1:00 pm. Other times at the home of her sister Hilda at 111 East Circle Drive, Hamilton, NC.
Pallbearers will be Joe Ruffin, Gage Parrish, Jeffrey Taylor, Sammy Taylor, Michael Spencer and William "Hootie" Lewis.
Glenda was born November 24, 1950 in Plymouth, Washington County, NC to the late Willie and Lorene Arnold.
She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Scott of Hamilton, NC and Thurman Jackson of Pinetown, NC, the father of her children. Sisters: Linda Fay Arnold and Edith Harris of Plymouth, NC.
Glenda is survived by her son: Randy Jackson and wife Mandy of Pinetown, NC and daughter: Tina Jackson Scott and husband Jimmy Scott of Oak City, NC.
She is the proud "Granny" to 7 grandchildren: Tiffany Jackson (John Fennmore), Blake Jackson (Taren Jackson), Breanne Gilliard (Chase Gilliard), Carson Ingalls, Rebecca Parris (Gage Parrish), Jonathan Manseau (Taylor Manseau) and Lauren Scott (Joe Ruffin).
Glenda is also survived by her siblings: Billie Ray Arnold of Colorado, James "Chubby" Arnold and Lillie Spruill of Plymouth, NC and Hilda Taylor of Hamilton, NC.
She was a dryer operator with West Point Stevens in Hamilton, NC until retirement.
Glenda enjoyed many hobbies in life from cross stitching to word search puzzles, but her most favorite hobby was listening to gospel music and singing at church.
She was famous for making her special homemade potato salad for every church or family function gathering.
Glenda was a lifelong member of Hamilton Church of Christ.
