July 18, 1931 – July 25, 2020
Pauline Jean Williams, age 89, passed away peacefully July 25, 2020 after a long fight with dementia. She was born July 18, 1931 in Clarksburg, West Virginia to Manual and Mercedes Llaneza.
She married her longtime friend and love, James Walden Williams, in April of 1955 who preceded her in death in 2018. She followed her husband's career in the space program that took them from Columbus, Ohio to Southern California, and then to League City, Texas. They loved to travel and took numerous trips to Florida, Mexico, Hawaii, and the Virgin Islands.
Pauline loved to play tennis which she continued to do into her 80's. She was an active member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church and sang in the choir for over 30 years. She loved the choir and her many friends she made over the years.
For many years Pauline worked at State Farm Insurance and later at multiple real estate offices in the area. It suited her outgoing personality and allowed her to be involved with the community and around people.
She was the youngest of 9 children from a wonderful, loving Spanish immigrant family. She carried those family values with her during her life and was a devoted mom raising three kids of her own.
Pauline is survived by her two sons and their wives Keith and Barbara Williams, David and Dene' Williams, and her daughter and her husband Lisa and Robert Cumming; grandchildren, Alison and Daniel (Ashley) Williams, Robert III "Trey" (Lia) and Kristen Cumming, Bradley(Paige) and Casey Williams; plus 4 great grandchildren and her many nephews and nieces. All of these she loved and touched deeply.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
