Claude Kenneth “Kenny” Parker, age 58 of Deer Park, Texas, went home to be with the Lord on July 30, 2020. Kenny was born February 13, 1962 in Alexandria, Louisiana to Ardis and Shirley Parker. The family moved to Pasadena, Texas where he grew up and graduated from Sam Rayburn High School in 1982. After high school, he attended San Jacinto College and graduated from the University of Houston in 1986.

Kenny began his extensive career in Law Enforcement in 1987 with the Harris County Constables Office Pct. 2 and after a short time, moved to Galveston where he worked for the Galveston County Sheriff’s Department for 6 years. In 1995, Kenny moved to Deer Park and went to work for the Harris County Constables Office Pct. 8 staying until his retirement on October 25, 2019. While at Pct. 8, he trained other Deputies and had a very special love for the department’s Honor Guard, in which he served proudly. Kenny was in Law Enforcement for over 30 years and loved everything about being a Deputy, especially all of his brothers and sisters in blue. Kenny was also very proud to be a Mason and was a member of the Deer Park Masonic Lodge 1362 Ancient Free and Accepted Masons. On July 2, 1998, he was raised to the Sublime degree of a Master Mason.

In 1998, while working at Pct. 8, he met the love of his life and soul mate, Teresa Jean Lee. They began dating in 1999 and, after 19 years of courtship, they married on May 19, 2018. Kenny had a “full of life” attitude. He never met a stranger and his family and friends meant the world to him. He had a smile that was contagious and would light up a room. He would help anyone that needed help on or off duty. He had a love for football (especially his Longhorns) and a passion for cars, motocross, surfing and music. He will be missed but not forgotten.

He is preceded in death by his father Ardis Parker and his brother Benjamin “Benny” Isaiah Parker.

Kenny is survived by his wife Teresa Parker; step-daughter; Kristina Nylund and husband Robbie; step-son Caleb Pavlicek; mother Shirley Garcia and husband Eddie; niece Tina Walker; great-niece Arabella Walker; step-sister Mashaya Kerry; mother-in-law Shirley Harris and husband Jim; father-in-law Charles R. Lee, Jr. and wife Billie Sue; brother-in-law Charles Lee and wife Teri; step sister-in-law Kim Fiery and husband Paul; step brother-in-law Phillip Harris and wife Cinde.
