Fran graduated from Little Flower High School for Girls in 1958. Fran, who enjoyed dancing, met Ray on May 25, 1958 at the Immaculate Conception dance. The Jitterbug was one of their favorites. They married in April 1963 and soon after settled in the Olney/East Oak Lane section of Philadelphia. When the children were situated in school, Fran went back to work for the Givnish Family Funeral Homes as the first office manager for 20 years. Fran will always be remembered for being well dressed and having great fashion. She greatly enjoyed shopping, especially for shoes. When Fran was not dancing or shopping, she was happiest spending time with her children and grandchildren. Fran looked forward to vacationing at the Jersey shore, and trips to California, Florida, and Hawaii with her family. Fran also fully supported her children in their sports endeavors, including football, basketball, baseball, tennis, gymnastics, and cheerleading. She attended and encouraged her children at all these events, and was there for the practices, defeats, injuries, and victories; she certainly deserved many "Game Balls" over the years. Fran retired to Blue Bell where she met new friends and enjoyed happy hours. Ice cream became her favorite desert: Morning, noon and night!
Relatives and friends are invited to Fran's Life Celebration visitation on Friday August 7, 2020 at St. Helena Church (1489 Dekalb Pike, Blue Bell, PA 19422) from 10:15 AM to 12:00 Noon, with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 12 Noon; interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
