Graveside services for Mrs. Rebecca Ann Nicholson will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at Arkadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery with Bro. Steven Wade officiating. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.
Mrs. Rebecca Ann “Becky” Nicholson, age 77, of Meridian passed away Sunday, August 2, 2020 at The Oaks Rehabilitation Center in Meridian.
Becky worked for many years as a homemaker and certified nursing assistant at multiple elderly care communities in Meridian, including King’s Daughters, Aldersgate, and Beverly Healthcare. Becky was dedicated, hardworking, and loving to the many patients she cared for through her career. She was a devoted supporter of her family’s athletic events, often attending games and tournaments in which her loved ones participated. She was a member of Arkadelphia Baptist Church.
Becky is survived by her beloved son, David Allen Nicholson, Jr.; her stepchildren, Debbie Hodges of Philadelphia, Dawn Stewart of Fulton, and Lisa Goldman and Ricky Nicholson of Meridian; her sister-in-law, Mae Powell; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Becky was preceded in death by her husband, David Allen Nicholson, Sr.; her parents, Willard and Hilda Powell; and her brother, James Willard Powell.
Pall bearers will be Jay Powell, Bud Brown, Jeremy Collins, Chip Foreman, Patrick Daugherty, and Clint Brown.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be shared with the Becky Nicholson Memorial Fund care of Toomsuba Baptist Church, PO Box 487, Toomsuba, MS 39364.
