She grew up in Wichita, Kan. and moved to Massachusetts when she married Daniel Barrett, a veteran of the Korean War.
Peggy worked at American shoe in Woburn, Mass. until retiring and moving with her husband, Daniel, to Clearwater, Fla. They were married for over 50 years until his passing in February 2004. She remained in Florida surrounded by many friends and opened her home to visiting family.
Peggy enjoyed gathering with family and friends. If any visitors stopped by, there was always room for one more at her dinner table. She also loved to travel whenever the opportunity arose. Some of her favorite past times were playing cribbage, getting manicures, as well as shopping with her daughters. People would hear her laughter and say "Oh, that's Peggy!".
Peggy passed away on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at the age of 84. she was a beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was truly a beautiful human being, inside and out.
Peggy is survived by two sons and three daughters; a brother; grandchildren.
