David lost his brave battle with lung cancer on August 1, 2020.
Per David’s wishes there will be no service or visitation.
David loved the “simple things” in life, he enjoyed spending his time in the country, taking rides in his pickup truck and watching old western movies.
David spent the last 34 years with the love of his life, Diana Weber. Diana bravely helped David through his last several weeks while in hospice. David and Diana truly knew the meaning of finding their soulmate.
David was the youngest of 6 siblings, he is survived by his brothers, Richard McGinnis, Michael Leahy, sisters, Debra Robinson, Marian Garrard and Irene Light.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Ruth McGinnis, nephew, Timothy Spittler and niece, Michelle Robinson all formally of Clinton, Iowa.
The Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family.
