Opelousas - Memorial services for Patricia Carroll Corns will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 25, 2020, in the Lafond Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas, LA. Rev. Msgr. Russell Harrington will officiate the services. Rite of Committal will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park in Opelousas.
Ms. Pat was a native of Opelousas and a longtime resident of New Orleans until Hurricane Katrina. Then, she moved to Opelousas where she resided. She passed away on March 16, 2020, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home of Opelousas surrounded by her family at the age of 84.
She was a Registered Nurse for over 55 years where she stared working at Opelousas General Health System in its beginning and worked several years at ENT Hospital in New Orleans. She was an avid reader and enjoyed watching the Saints football games. She cherished her time spent with her family. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.
Pat is survived by her companion, Edward E. Waldeman of Opelousas; one brother, Adam C. Carroll and wife, Eleanor of Great Falls, Montana; three sisters, Dolores C. Provost of Lafayette; Linda Carroll of Lafayette; Cheryl C. Stevenson of Hot Springs, Arkansas; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by parents, Charles Carroll and Yolande Mallet Carroll; an infant son, Paul John Mayne; sister, Angele Carroll; and two brothers-in-law, Frederick Provost and Dennis Stevenson.
The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff of Louisiana Hospice and Palliative Care for their wonderful medical care given to Ms. Pat.
The family gathering will be held for the public, friends and family from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 25, 2020, in the Lafond Ardoin Funeral Home. The Rosary Service will be held at 10:30 a.m.
