Mr. Michael David Lea, 77, a longtime resident of Thomasville, passed away Friday, December 15, 2017.
He was born October 9, 1940, in Jamestown, son of the late Hurdle Haywood Lea and Mildred Evelyn Johnston Lea.
Mr. Lea was a graduate of Jamestown High School, North Carolina State and UNC-Chapel Hill.
Mr. Lea had a law practice for many years in Thomasville.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Michael David Lea, Jr. and a brother, Hurdle Haywood Lea, Jr.
He was married to Suzanne Moore Lea, who survives, of the home.
Also surviving are daughter, Katharine Lea and husband Jon Saken of Huntington, WV; two brothers, Richard (Rik) Lea and wife Robin of High Point and Scott Lea of High Point; two grandsons, Zachary Michael Lea-Saken and Elliot Nathaniel Lea-Saken.
