She was born in 1907 in Davenport to Leonard and Mary Mulvihill Hart. She married John Leahy in 1927 in Brooklyn, Iowa. He died in 1953.
Surviving are son, Paul, Omaha, Neb.; daughter, Mary Reilly, Albany, N.Y.; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Rosemary Hart, Davenport. She was preceded by a son, seven brothers and three sisters.
