Ellen Jackson, 85, of Crossett, died Saturday, August 1, 2020, at her residence. Mrs. Jackson was a native and lifelong resident of Crossett. She worked for Chase Bag Company for ten years and she worked in the lunchroom at North Crossett Elementary for many years. Mrs. Jackson was a member of the Cloverdale Assembly of God Church. She was the cook and a member of the Cloverdale Hunting Club and in her spare time, she enjoyed fishing.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, William “Sonny” Jackson in 2017; her parents; Walter and Aldia Sinclaire Jones; two sisters, Evelyn Tanksley and Catherine Teel; a grandson, Joshua David Slaughter and a great-grandson, Houston Anthony Slaughter.

She is survived by four sons, William Jackson and wife, Deane, of Hamburg, Walter Jackson and wife, Darlene, of Crossett, Robert Jackson of Santa Fe, Texas, and James Jackson of Houston, Texas; three daughters, Janice Evans and husband, Michael, of Houston, Texas, Carolyn Reeves and husband, Charles, of Crossett and Debra Kay Slaughter and husband, Steve, of El Dorado; 12 grandchildren, Steven Evans, Amanda Johnson, Daniel Cotton, Vanessa Purvis, Danny Joe Slaughter, Brian Jackson, Mandy Atchley, Waylon Jackson, Crystal Jackson, Blake Jackson, Dillon Jackson and Jennifer Jackson; 20 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are 2 p.m., Wednesday, August 5, 2020, at the Cloverdale Assembly of God Church with Bro. Wes Miller and Bro. David Williams officiating. A private burial will be in the Carlock Cemetery. Pallbearers are Brian Jackson, Danny Joe Slaughter, Daniel Cotton, Steven Evans, Blake Jackson and Donnie Atchley. Honorary pallbearers are Michael White and Waylon Jackson. Memorials may be made to Hospice Home Care - Monticello, 990 HWY 425 North, Monticello, AR 71955.

A come and go visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Tuesday at the Cloverdale Assembly of God Church.
