RANCHO SANTA FE, Calif. - Lorna Sharpe Leedy, 78, daughter of former South Dakota Gov. M.Q. Sharpe, passed away March 22 at her home in Rancho Santa Fe, Calif.
A 1945 graduate of the University of South Dakota, Lorna worked as a reporter at the Rapid City Daily Journal following her graduation. She was married in 1946 to Daniel Leedy of Rapid City, and the couple moved to Santa Monica, Calif.
Lorna is survived by her husband; four children, David, John, Tom and Lisa; and by 10 grandchildren.
