MARJORIE E. GERBER, 87, formerly of New Haven, passed away Saturday, July 28, 2018, in the afternoon at Christian Care Retirement Community in Bluffton. Born in Fairbury, Ill. on May 13, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Ida (Greuter) Zimmerman.

Marjorie married James R. "Jim" Gerber in Latty, Ohio, on June 3, 1951; he preceded her in death on Dec. 27, 2016. Marjorie was a homemaker and a member of the Apostolic Christian Church. She had a love for music, and especially enjoyed playing the piano and guitar.

She is survived by a son, Larry (Sarah) Gerber of Decatur; a daughter, Susan (Michael) Davis of Fort Wayne; four grandchildren, Jamie L. Davis, Mickenzee E. Davis, Hayden M. Davis, and Kylie M. Gerber; along with a sister, Melvene (Russell) Stoller of Latty, Ohio.

In addition to her parents and husband, Marjorie was preceded in death by an infant son, Mark Allen Gerber, on March 13, 1963; three brothers, Elden, Earl, and Kenneth Zimmerman; and a sister, Delores VanNorman.

Service is 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 2, 2018, at Apostolic Christian Church, 12867 Road 82, Paulding, Ohio, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Visitation also from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2018, from at Goodwin - Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel, 3220 East State Road 124, Bluffton, Ind.

Burial will follow service at the Latty Apostolic Christian Church Cemetery.
