George Melvin Walters Junior was born on June 29, 1936 in Ash Creek, MN to George and Grace (Groen) Walters Sr. He was raised and received his education in the rural Beaver Creek, MN area graduated from Beaver Creek High School in 1954.
He was preceded in death by his son, Bruce Walters; parents, George Sr. and Grace Walters; four brothers, Henry, Dick, Leslie and Ervin "Erv" Walters; and one sister, Aleida Kruger.
