Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2020, at St. Thomas Catholic Church, Philo, with the Rev. Keith Walder officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Sidney. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the church. Freese Funeral Home, Sidney, is assisting with arrangements.
Mrs. Thomas was born Nov. 16, 1974, in Champaign, a daughter to Stanley and Diana Goff Christenson. She married Rob Thomas on July 26, 2003, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Urbana; he survives.
Also surviving are her parents of Tolono; two children, Kate and Jacob Thomas of Philo; and two brothers, Christopher Christenson and Bryan Christenson.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents and mother and father-in-law.
Jennifer was very artsy and crafty. She loved to knit and sew as well as draw. She volunteered at St. Thomas School, Philo. She collected Walt Disney memorabilia and assorted vintage items. She was also a Chicago Cubs fan. She was very supportive of her family and always came bearing gifts, or if you visited her, you always left with an arm full of goodies. Her favorite place to visit was Nantucket, having stayed there working for three months, she always enjoyed going back.
Memorials may be made to her children’s education fund in C/O of Philo Exchange Bank.
