Frances Pierce, 100, of Berlin, departed this life on Thursday, July 30, 2020, at The Macky & Pam Stansell House Coastal Hospice in Ocean Pines. Born in Murphy, NC, she was the daughter of the late Aleck Scott and Eliza Scott Favors. Her husband, David H. Pierce, Sr., also preceded her in death.
Mrs. Pierce was a member of Jehovah Tabernacle Holiness Church, where she served as a missionary.
She worked as a domestic for various families.
Loving memories will be cherished by: six children, Doris Hickman, David H. Pierce, Jr., George E. Pierce, Sr., John W. Pierce (Rose), James C. Pierce, and Mabel A. Johnson (David); several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, in-laws, and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by a son, Charles Pierce, seven siblings, Jean Elizabeth, Irene, Mary Jane, Anne, Charles Scott, Horace Scott, and William Scott, a grandson, Eric Pierce, and a daughter-in-law, Jennie Pierce.
Mrs. Pierce will lie in repose on Friday, August 7, 2020, from 12 to 1 PM at Jehovah Tabernacle Holiness Church, 12003 Sinepuxent Road, Berlin. The funeral service will begin at 1 PM. Interment will follow at St. Paul's Cemetery, 10543 Assateague Road, Berlin.
