Roger was born November 25th, 1950 to Walker and Hazel (Freemyer) Lambert in the Holyoke Hospital. Roger “Roller” Lambert graduated from Haxtun High school in 1969. Roger was very active in track and football and in 1969 he was an all-state football player.
Roger married Sandy Groover on September 6, 1974. Roger and Sandy had two children - Zac & Zeb Lambert. In 2005 Roger adopted a daughter, Julie Lambert.
Roger was dedicated to his town of Haxtun. From being a fireman for many years and serving as fire chief. He ran the down marker for many Bulldog football games over the years. During the blizzard of 1977, Roger helped restore the town of Haxtun’s power. He loved to play softball on the town league.
Roger was a farmer for many years and received his Master’s Electrician License in 1981. He opened his own business - RL Electric that same year. At the end of his working career he worked for the Department of Corrections as a Lieutenant Electrician.
In retirement, Roger enjoyed fishing and going on Cabella’s trips with his daughter Julie.
He is preceded in death by his parents Walker and Hazel Lambert, his sister Ruth Ann Lambert and his very good friend Jim Davis.
Roger is survived by his son Zac (wife Tahlia), son Zeb, brothers Kenneth (wife Carol), Gary (wife Carolyn) and Rodney, grandchildren Quynn and Cole Lambert, nieces and nephews: Tyson and Heather Lambert, Nick and Janelle Lambert, Jennifer and Michael Clark, Rodney Lambert, and Heather Lambert.
Roger will be missed by many family and friends.
