MRS. R. L. ABERNATHY
NEW CAMBRIA – A graveside service for Mrs. Faye N. Abernathy, 309 E. Wilson, Salina, will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday in the Highland Cemetery, New Cambria, the Rev. Gale Pack officiating.
Mrs. Abernathy died Thursday at Good Samaritan Nursing Home, Minneapolis, after a brief illness. She had been a patient at the Minneapolis home for two weeks.
She was born Oct. 28, 1909, at Datewood, Mo., and had lived in Salina since 1946, coming here from Lincoln, Neb. She was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church and the Brotherhood of Trainmen Auxiliary. Her husband, R. L. died in 1962.
Surviving are three sons, Robert, New Cambria; William, 309 E. Wilson, and Richard, 1109 E. Ellsworth; a daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Damker, 517 S. Mckinney, Roanoke, Va.; three brothers, Rex McKinney, Martinez, Cailf.; John McKinney, Turon, and Kermit McKinney, Wichita, and Mrs. Reba Brick, Lakewood, Calif.; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Geisendorf Rush Smith Funeral Home until 1 p.m. Friday.
