PETTIS- Mr. Allen "Doug" Douglas Pettis age 88 of Pettis Lane Brewton, Alabama passed away Saturday May 9, 2020 in a Century, Florida nursing facilty after a brief illness. He was a native and life long resident of Escambia County, Alabama. Mr. Pettis was a member of the Pleasant Home Holiness Church, He attended Wallace School and graduated from W.S. Neal High School, He was a retired Millwright from Container Corporation with 40 plus years of service. He was a founding member of the Wallace Volunteer Fire Department, and he enjoyed farming and raising cattle.

Wife of 53 years- Betty Hale Pettis of Brewton, Alabama
(2) Sons- Theron (Tammy) Pettis of Rutledge, Alabama
Adrian Pettis of Dothan, Alabama
(1) Daughter- LaCresha (Kyle) Hayes of Brewton, Alabama
(2) Grandchildren- Emma Claire Hayes, Brody Hayes
Preceded in death by: Parents- Solomon and Clara Morris Pettis
Brothers- Leonard Pettis, Cleve Pettis, Howard Pettis, Coley Pettis, Claude Pettis
Sisters- Essie Mae Chavers, Voncile Chavers

Graveside Services are scheduled for Tuesday morning May 12, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. at Hanberry Cemetery with Rev. AD Hale and Rev. Gam Graves officiating. Interment will follow in Hanberry Cemetery Brewton, Alabama with WILLIAMS MEMORIAL CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME OF BREWTON, ALABAMA DIRECTING.
