Dansville-Theodore A. "Ted" Backus age 68, passed away early Wednesday afternoon March 25, 2020, at home following a long illness.
He was Born in Bainbridge NY on February 23, 1952. On March 25th, 1978 he was married to Marilyn K. Miller who survives.
Ted was a Staff Sgt. in the United States Air Force from 1972-1992, retiring in 1992. While in the Airforce they were stationed in New York, Utah, Kansas, Fairbanks Alaska and Anchorage Alaska where he retired in 1992. Ted and Marilyn moved to Dansville in 2015 after retirement and made this their home.
Ted enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling (he bowled a 300-perfect game), WWF wrestling, a cold beer, a good game of poker, and he loved his family. He was a member of the Daniel Goho Post # 87 of the American Legion in Dansville. He enjoyed volunteering and serving dinners at the American Legion.
He is survived by his wife the former Marilyn K. Miller Backus, a son Justin Backus, and future daughter in-law Lindsey Johnson. A brother Frank Backus, brother in-law's Bill (Jana) Miller and Bob Miller, and many nieces and nephews and his extended "framilies"
