Mary E. Kenny | 1932 - 2020 | Obituary
Mary Ellen Sullivan Kenny of Annapolis, MD passed away on March 12, 2020 at the age of 87. She was born on June 1, 1932 and grew up in Falls Church, VA. Her brother and sisters were close through her entire life. She played varsity softball, field hockey, and basketball throughout high school. She was voted most athletic in her senior year of high school. She met the love of her life, Thomas C. Kenny, and got married on March 3, 1962 and celebrated their 58th anniversary less than two weeks ago. Together they had four children which they raised in a very loving home.
She is survived by her loving husband, Thomas C. Kenny, her children Kathleen M. Ritter (Robert), Marleen E. Howard (Don), Thomas J. Kenny (Robin) and James M. Kenny. She is also survived by her sister Lois Stewart, 10 Grandchildren, and 10 Great-Grandchildren.
She faced her health challenges with grace and a deep faith, always maintaining a positive outlook. Always redirecting the conversation to be about you and your loved ones. Everyone that met her, loved her.
She was surrounded by friends and family constantly. The amount of love and support she received from family and friends brought her an immense amount of joy. She loved to follow the activities of her extensive family, especially related to sports.
She will be forever remembered and her approach to life will be modeled by everyone that met her.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 18th from 2-4 and 6-8pm at Barranco Severna Park Funeral Home & Cremation Care, P.A. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, March 19th at 11am. (Please see the notice above limiting the number of visitors at the visitation and funeral). Interment will follow at Glen Haven Memorial Park
