Mrs. Charlotte Faye Ward, age 78, of Sandersville passed away Friday, July 31, 2020 following an extended illness. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. in May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Washington County Memorial Gardens. Clint Hancock and Joshua Ward will officiate.

Mrs. Ward was born in Americus, the daughter of the late Marvin Britton Fussell and Nettie Lou West. Mrs. Ward was a member of Preston Baptist Church. She was an avid bowler and her greatest enjoyment in life was her family and especially her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her son, William Brett Ward, and her sister, Marie F. Spann.

Survivors include: her husband, William A. Ward of Sandersville; children, Molly Renee Ward and Jeffery Britton Ward and his wife Tammie, all of Lawrenceville, and Tammy Ward Hancock and her husband Clint of Sandersville; grandchildren, Justin Cody Ward, Amber Chartrice Weibel, Caleb Christian Ward, Joshua Seth Ward, Caylee Maria Hancock, Jordan Faith Hancock, Chance Clinton Hancock II, and Charlotte Elexis Tullis; great-grandchildren, Tristan Alexander Ward and William David Weibel; and nieces, Pamela Greene and Janet S. Burks.

The family will greet friends from 1:00 P.M. until the hour of service on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at May and Smith Funeral Home.
