Jesus Gonzales, 76, a lifelong resident of Rochester, TX, passed away Friday, July 31, 2020. A graveside service will be at 10:00AM, Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at the O’Brien, TX cemetery, with Rev. Joshua Giddens officiating. Services are under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes, Rochester. There will be no public viewing or visitation, however online condolences can be shared with the family at www.smithfamilyfh.com.

Jesus was born December 29, 1943 in Robstown, Texas, to Suzana and Leo Gonzales. He married Lupe (Sarabia) on November 21, 1970 in Haskell, TX. His passion was farming, and when he was off he loved to work in his yard.

He is survived by his wife, Lupe Gonzales of Rochester; 2 sons, Jesse Gonzales, Jr., and Samuel Gonzales both of Rochester; grandson, Mason Burson of Abilene; granddaughter, Callee Smith of Baggs, WY; brother, Leo Gonzales, Jr., of Quannah; 4 sisters, Mary Magana of Frisco, Christina Diaz of Breckenridge, Tommie Villanueva of Mckinney, and Sylvia Gallardo of Granbury; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Suzana and Leo Gonzales; 5 brothers, and 4 sisters.
