OBITUARY: Killed by Train, Young man formerly of North Creek, found dead at Mechanicville. Harlon Bennett, a resident for the past four months of Mechanicville, was found dead near the tracks at the Boston and Maine roundhouse in the later place early yesterday morning. He was cut and bruised and his spine was fractured. Young Bennett was taken to the emergency rooms in the Railroad's Young men's Christian association building and Dr. J. M. Purcell was called, but life was extinct. Coroner A. W. Johnson directed the removal of the body to H. B. Mace's undertaking rooms and the man's father of North Creek was notified. Deceased was about 23 years old, and had been breaking in as a fireman for the Boston and Maine road. What train struck Bennett is not known, as regular and switching engines had passed both ways shortly before the body was discovered by an engine man of one of the yard engines.
