Patrick Cullinan, age 75, was found deceased on the floor of his Oswego home on July 29, 1926. He was born in Oswego and never married; his only survivors were two nieces and two nephews, all residing in Buffalo. He attended Oswego High School, graduating in 1869. He graduated from Cornell University in 1872 and then studied law and was admitted to practice at Buffalo in 1875 at the head of his class. He was one of the pioneer leaders of the Oswego bar. He was city attorney in 1877-78 and was elected to the state assembly in 1879 at the age of 29 years, one of the youngest members of that body, and served several terms. He was also a delegate to several national conventions. In 1901 he was appointed to fill the unexpired term of of the late former state excise commissioner and he was known for economy and honesty. He retired in 1906 and formed a law partnership with Udelle Bartlett under the firm name of Cullinan & Bartlett.
There was a lengthy obituary published (at least) in The Fulton Patriot (Fulton, NY) on Wednesday, August 4, 1926.
