Theodore L. Bingaman was born October 30, 1929. He was the oldest child born to Nathan and Alma Bingaman in Batesville, Arkansas. Ted spent his childhood in California with his 6 siblings. Ted entered into the Air Force as a young man, hoping to see the world. The military did take him to distances both far and near. Ted met his first wife Bonnie at a military hospital while he was recovering from TB. Ted went AWOL to elope with Bonnie and their life together began. Ted and Bonnie were blessed with four sons. Kenneth was born first in June of 1952. Followed by Randall in November of 1955. Bruce followed in October 1959. They felt their family was complete but were surprised by one more when Robert arrived in August of 1969. They were an active family who liked to travel and spend time in the woods. Ted was an avid sportsman who loved to fish and hunt. Ted could always tell you a story about the big fish that got away or the animals he had harvested. The Bingaman Clan had strong ties and the siblings would often spend time traveling together. Ted instilled a strong love of family and of the great outdoors into his sons, all of the son's had their funny stories of spending time with Ted in the woods. Ted lost Bonnie to a heart attack in May of 1983. This loss was heartbreaking to Ted and his sons. Little did he know he would have another chance at love when he met his second wife Pat. The Bingaman's grew by 2 when Pat and her daughter Pam joined their adventures. Ted never met a stranger, which was a blessing and a curse. He could talk to anyone and often did so, whether it was by fixing their appliances, cars or finding the perfect melon in the supermarket, even if you were a complete stranger with the offer of " Let me show you how to pick the best melon". Talking with Ted on the phone often turned into long-detailed conversations because Ted was always willing to help others, give guidance and opinions even if you really didn't need his help or ask him for it. Ted could be stubborn and often provoked disagreements on values he strongly held. However, he could also be sweet, which he would tell you" they don't come any sweeter than me!" Ted will be fondly remembered by his wife Pat. Missed by his children and their families, his brother, sisters, his many nieces and nephews, his grandchildren and great grandchildren and his many friends and acquaintances. Ted was supported in his journey by the special staff from Sunrise Senior Living and Suncrest Hospice. In lieu of flowers please make a donation in Ted's name to Suncrest Hospice 5700 S. Quebec St. Greenwood Village, CO 80111. Services for Ted will be held Graveside at Mountain View Memorial Park Jan. 19, 2018 at 1 pm.
