Services for Jenelda "Jan" J. Long, 66, Lawrence, will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary, Lawrence. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Long died Sunday, Jan. 25, 1998, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
She was born Dec. 9, 1931, in Scott City, the daughter of Osten J. and Vesta Mary Luton Unruh. She moved to Lawrence in 1959 from Ottawa and worked as the office manager at Farmer's Cooperative in Lawrence.
She was a member of Sweet Adelines, Lawrence, Abdallah Shrine, Mounted Patrol Auxiliary, Kansas City, Mo. She was formerly a volunteer at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
She married Kenneth W. Long on Nov. 4, 1949, in Scott City. He died July 23, 1992. A son, Jeffrey K. Long, died Dec. 5, 1981.
Survivors include a daughter, Susan Root, Emporia; a son, James Long, Lawrence; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
