WOODS (Omey), Annette Lynn, 62, of Dayton, departed this earthly life July 27, 2020 to be with her Heavenly Father. Annette attended Nettie Lee Roth High School, and was employed at Economy Linen, and the Mandalay Banquet Hall for many years. She was a member of St. James A.M.E. Church for a duration, and also attended Bethel M. B. Church.

Annette loved being with family, and her favorite hobby was cooking. She enjoyed art and puzzles, and loved to sing and talk on the phone.

Preceded in death by her father, John James Woods; sisters, Marsha R. Dozier, McKelly Renee Woods; grandmother, Inez Henry; niece, Shalice Derrick; nephew, Lamar Anthony Dozier; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

She is survived by her mother, Minerva Woods; children, D’Angela Pierce (Abram Benson), Jerome Marcus Turner II "Romie", Jaquae’ Woods, Quiana (Robert) Myricks, Shaquille McCalister; sisters, Joyce Derrick, Trudy, Tonya and Sonya Woods; brothers, John J. Jr., Dwight V. (Juaniece) and Bruce Woods; grandchildren she loved dearly, Bryant Murphy Jr. "Baby", Craig Ross Jr. "CJ", Derricka Watson, Derricko Watson, D'Abriea Benson "Breezy", Ron'Nae Barnett "Mudda baby", Jai'El Barnett "Sparkles", Robert Myricks "Panda", Durrell Myricks, R'Ruiana Myricks "Reese"; great grandchildren, Bry'Elle Murphy "LaLa", Ashton Ross, Faith Ross, D'Aires Norvell "Pumpkin head"; a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Funeral service will be held 12 noon Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at Redemption Gospel Church, 665 Salem Ave. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Interment West Memory Gardens. Arrangements entrusted to House of Wheat Funeral Home, Inc.
